hello, I'm Alexa!

A Polaroid photo of Alexa, a young woman in a blue floral wrap dress. She leans against a garage door spray painted with an ink bamboo shoot. A handwritten caption reads 'NYC Chinatown'.

I'm an MDiv student at Earlham School of Religion. My interests include queer-affirming pastoral care, Quaker decision-making, permacomputing, and photography. I'm based in Pittsburgh, PA.

You might find me in the alto section of a Sacred Harp singing near you.

blog

I publish regular posts to the Gemini capsule at this address. Subscribe using my RSS feed.

Gemini is a light, non-commercial internet publishing protocol, like a simpler web. To browse Gemini directly, you'll need a dedicated browser such as Lagrange. My site is fully accessible over the web, though. See my colophon for more.

photos

I enjoy taking photos. Here are a few that I like.

I shoot digital, but I love the distortion of vintage lenses. My current kit includes:

Pink flowers foreground
								an out-of-focus brick church steeple
								against a blue sky.
spring flowers in Pittsburgh
Monochrome photo of a neon car wash sign
in the shape of an elephant pouring water onto itself.
								Elephant Super Car Wash: Open.
summertime in Seattle
A small, curly haired dog stands
looking out of a car passenger window.
								He looks dignified,
and his fur is white, black, and grey.
no seatbelt
Monochrome photo of a trumpet-bearing angel statue
								with one lifted arm.
Another smaller figure has sunlight shining onto his eyes
as he looks in the distance.
The statue is backgrounded by a spidery bare tree.

I maintain some digital infrastructure to try leaving the net a better place than I found it. I administer iambic.social, a fediverse instance where all posts are in iambic verse. (Registrations are open!)

I also run a public node on Yggdrasil, a global IPv6 overlay network. You're welcome to peer if you are near Washington, DC. Note that this node is only accessible over IPv6.
